A book about editor design from 1991, with an appendix listing EmacsImplementations. The author, Craig Finseth studied at MIT and was heavily influenced by Emacs culture and editor design. Publishing rights reverted to the author so it is published online. The book was updated in 2000 or so. It uses GNU Emacs for many of its examples.
